Welcome to Canbury Medical Centre

The Canbury Medical Centre is a partnership of five doctors who provide a full range of services to 10,500 local residents. The history of the practice goes back to 1861 but we have moved site three times. We came to our own purpose-built premises at Elm Road in 1980. We have ample free parking for patients visiting our surgery.

We are a very busy practice in which the partners have wide ranging, complementary medical interests. This is reflected in our affiliation with St George's Hospital. In addition, the practice is accredited for the training of doctors who are planning to make their career in general practice. Two such doctors form part of the practice team for one year at a time.
