Appointments

calendarPlease note that in the mornings, there is an emergency line from 08:00am to 08:30am. The receptionists will not be able to book on the day appoints until 08:30am.

Please note that although we close the front doors at 6:00 pm you are still able to contact us for emergencies by telephone 0844 477 8604 until 6:30pm.

We, like many other practices, are constantly trying to improve access to our services. In response to patient comments we have developed an appointment system that offers a combination of book-on-the-day and pre-bookable appointments. In addition, we are pleased to offer telephone consultations for both the doctor and the nurses.

Appointments are 10 minutes in duration, unless specifically requested otherwise. In addition to face-to-face appointments, we also offer pre-bookable telephone consultations. Should you require an urgent appointment or advice, we have an emergency clinican available weekday mornings and afternoons.

DOCTORTo See The Doctor
You are now able to book up to four weeks in advance for a doctor's appointment. We save approximately 50% of appointments for on-the-day booking, which is available by telephone or at reception from 8.30am Monday to Friday.

To See The Nurse
Nurse appointments can all be booked up to six weeks in advance. To enable the nurse to prepare for your appointment it is helpful if you can let a receptionist know why you are coming in. We understand that this won't always be possible.

Non-attendance for appointments is a persistent problem and increases the wait to see the doctor/nurse. If you no longer require your appointment please cancel in good time, as this will allow someone else to see a doctor/nurse that day. Failure to attend a booked appointment on more than three occasions within one year may lead to removal of your name from the list. Please be punctual for your appointment. If you are more than 20 minutes late the doctor reserves the right to ask you to re-book.
